How To Make A Complaint

The Commissioner for Standards is responsible for considering complaints about the conduct of elected Members of the States of Alderney. The Commissioner considers complaints made by members of the public and States’ Members, and can also initiate her own investigation if she believes that, at a relevant time, a breach of the Code of Conduct may have occurred. 

Members are expected to behave in accordance with the Code of Conduct for States Members. The Guide to the Code of Conduct provides Members and the public with further information in relation to the Code of Conduct.

The Commissioner’s Statement outlines the processes she will follow in considering complaints and carrying out investigations.
